APIs with Informed K12

Three purpose-built APIs

The Campaign Responses API exports form submission data with customizable date ranges and field selection. The Data Source API imports data to prefill forms, eliminating manual entry. The User Management API creates, updates, and retrieves users programmatically. Each API handles a specific integration pattern your systems already use.

Role-based API access

Form Admins access Campaign Responses and Data Source APIs. People Admins access User Management API.

Token-based authentication keeps access controlled and auditable, so there are no shared credentials and no unnecessary exposure.

System integration

Connect to ERP, HRIS, and SIS platforms through standard data formats (CSV, XLSX, database connections). Bidirectional sync means data flows both ways; for example, you can pull student records from the SIS to prefill Independent Study Agreement (ISA) forms, then push completed forms back to update the SIS automatically.

All data is encrypted both in transit (TLS 1.2/1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Data archives every 60 seconds with 20 health checks running every 30 seconds. Stored in U.S.-based, ISO 27001-certified data centers with SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI Level 1, FISMA Moderate, and SOX accreditations.

Legally binding e-signatures

Full compliance with the U.S. Federal ESIGN Act. Every signature includes exact timestamp, IP address, and complete audit trail. Track every document access with downloadable audit logs—as legally binding as wet signatures without the paperwork.

FERPA-compliant by design

Purpose-built to comply with FERPA and its implementing regulations. Every InformedK12 employee receives FERPA training at onboarding and regular refresher training throughout their tenure. Districts retain full data ownership with 30-day retention upon contract termination.
