Where Informed K12 Stands on Accessibility

School districts serve every member of their community, and the software they rely on should too. That principle is the starting point for how we've approached accessibility at Informed K12, and it shapes the work we are doing now.
Earlier this year, we engaged WebAIM, an independent and nationally recognized authority on web accessibility, to conduct an audit of our product against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the internationally recognized benchmark for digital accessibility, and it is the standard we are working toward across our core end-user workflows: form submission, approval routing, and response management.
WebAIM's audit is complete. Their evaluation covered automated and manual testing across representative user journeys, including assistive technology testing with screen readers. Our engineering team is now working through their findings, prioritized by impact on users, and tracking remediation progress across every identified area.
What we will publish
Once we reach remediation milestones, WebAIM will retest our product to validate progress. The results will be published as a formal Accessibility Conformance Report based on the VPAT 2.5 framework, available on our accessibility page. Districts that need accessibility documentation as part of a procurement or compliance review can request what we have today and discuss the roadmap with our team.
How we test
Informed K12 is designed to work with the assistive technologies district staff and community members rely on. Our testing covers JAWS and NVDA on Windows with Chrome or Firefox, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS with Safari, keyboard operability across core workflows, and compatibility with browser zoom, text resizing, and high contrast settings.
We also coach districts on accessible field labeling. Field structure and labeling play a major role in usability for assistive technology users, and our Customer Success team works directly with districts to configure forms for the best possible experience.
Accessibility is an ongoing practice that we have built into how we develop and evolve our product. New features are evaluated against WCAG standards from the start, and existing functionality is regularly tested as the product evolves.
